To use the side button on your iPhone to pay with Apple Pay, you will need to make sure that Apple Pay is set up on your phone and that you have a compatible payment card added to your wallet. Here are the steps to pay with Apple Pay using the side button on your iPhone:
Hold your iPhone near the contactless reader with the display facing up.
Double-click the side button on your iPhone.
Hold your iPhone near the contactless reader until you see “Done” and a checkmark on the display.
To choose a different card, tap the card and then tap “Choose Another Card.”
To pay with a different card, double-click the side button and then tap the card that you want to use.
When you’re done, hold your iPhone near the contactless reader until you see “Done” and a checkmark on the display.
You can also use the side button to pay with Apple Pay from the lock screen or within apps. Simply double-click the side button and then hold your iPhone near the contactless reader when prompted.
