Remove the screws that hold the bottom of the laptop in place. These screws are usually located at the corners of the laptop.

Remove the screws that hold the cover in place and take the cover off. Then remove the screws that hold the fan in place.

Carefully pull the fan out of the laptop and replace it with a new one. Make sure the new fan is securely seated in the mount and all screws are tightened.

Put the cover back on and secure it with the screws. Put the bottom of the laptop back on and secure it with the screws.

Turn the laptop back on and check to make sure the fan is functioning properly.
